Who would trade their Vette for a GN?
I'm curious because I'm thinking of selling my GN and want to buy a '72 or '73 Vette.. (Can't afford both.. :( ) But might be willing to make an even trade if I find the one I'm looking for..
Either a '72 or '73 t-top coupe, auto, either restored or close to mint stock condition, mileage under 100K, no preference on exterior color but interior must be black or tan (beige) and be close to NY..
The car can be seen on my website below..

 GN, but I would be  if anyone would trade a Vette for a GN. Especially one restored or in near mint condition  I think it has to do with the differance in CQ, (Chick Quotient) Good Luck, but I'd go the "GN for sale" route and spend what I make on the best Vette I could find. :seeya

GN's are very  cars :yesnod: . You may find someone willing to trade their vette for it. I wouldn't mind having a nice fast car in the stable to keep my vette company, but like many others, I can't have both either :( .

I love GN's. I worked for a guy in Michigan for about 4 years who had a big collection of antique and classic cars, and I can still remember the day they delivered his GNX. That car just looked mean. It was delivered with some kind of high octane fuel and I can just remember listening to that V6 burble and smelling those sweet exhaust fumes, must have gone to my head because I still love those cars. I'd never ridden in anything so brutally quick, or that could produce so many cubic meters of tire smoke so fast. I'd still like one someday.

Sorry, I'm another one of the wouldn't trade my vette for anything but another vette crowd. I do love the GN, and thought about purchasing one before I bought the 68', but found myself thinking about what kind of vette I could get for the same money. I guess I'm just a Corvette junkie. In about 30 years I'm gonna wish I had bought the GN.

I was in Pigeon Forge Tn at the Grand Run last week. There were three GN's and a GNX that I saw. The Gn's were about 10K and the GNX was 12K. I didn't see any takers at that price.
I would like to have had the GNX myself, my friend has a 17K Gn and it is sweet. I would like to have had a wrecked one to swap into my '78 El Camino though.................................. ..JIM
PS Mick still has that dang bumper sticker that came with his that says " I Brake For Cortvettes " LOL JIM

Wow, didn't expect so many replies so fast... I'll probably sell the car outright and wait until next spring to pursue the Vette. I use my 3000GT as a winter car anyhow..
I was kinda hesitant to post this because I know the friction between the GN and Corvette crowd... :p:
Thanks guys!

Depending on the condition of your GN - you might be able to get more $$ for it than you'll spend on a Vette...

Ken, I might be crazy but I think you made a wise choice posting here. Who knows... there might be somebody here who was thinking I wonder if someone would trade a GN for their Vette. I have seen some of the GN in the paper here go for around 10K which is what a very nice 73 would go for. I purchased my 73 for 7800 two years ago and it was a #'s matching auto L48 in very good condition. Coming to a vette board and asking is a very wise choice because first of all, you are connecting with the "enthusiast" crowd so even if you don't make a deal now, when you do get your vette, you will already know a good reference place to ask questions about what is a good deal or not. Good luck finding a good one and I hope you can find someone to make a deal with.
