Callaway CR-1 #001 on the bay...
Have you guys seen the Callaway CR-1 #001 or sale on the bay... item # 190238561528
Looks awesome! Starting at $50K but who knows what's the reserve?!!!
Anyone know more history on this car? Given by GM to Callaway to build? There's gotta be a good story there somewhere!

Are you guys kidding? $75k, $100k? It's a 350 with porting, and an aerobody. I would think $40-50k depending on the condition.
FYI, the #001 status is questionable, according to the experts on the Callaway forum. Apparently a few cars claim to be SNAT ZR-1 #001.

wow , thats alot of cash i have a white 92 snat 475 but no aero body i wonder though maybe should up grade . the above is right on the motor car makes more power but not as much as one would think . plenum and inj houseings were extrude honed alot of the primary injector hump is still there . i think they may havr done most of the work on the heads . i want to do a test pulling the headers and corey ported inj housing and plenum off my blk car and put them on the callaway and see what the outcome would be . if i only had time the callaway made 372.84 rwhp353.42 tq.the car is all stk as it came from them. if someone has a fax number i could send the dyno sheet for them to post . i dont have anyway to do so.

"This 1991 Callaway CR-1 475 Supernatural is serial number 001. GM gave two ZR1 Corvettes to Callaway to see if he could create a car that would produce more that 450 horsepower with no tubo's or a supercharger. So the Callaway Supernatural was born which is a ZR1 that is modified by Callaway. This car is black on black with their famous Aero Body kit. The other car was white and did not receive the Aero Body. This car is one of only 16 ever produced and is number 001 and has the serial number and letter from Callaway to prove it. The Supernatural Package consists of; ZR1 Corvette, engine modified and produced 500+ horsepower to the rear tires, 4 wheel Brembo Gold Series Brakes with crossed drilled rotors, Indy handling package, Callaway Double "D" center exhaust, Callaway Badging and numbered on gear shift **** one of very few to receive a dash plaque, two piece OZ racing wheels and Callaway Aero Body. This car was featured in Road and Track and has several parts customed made by Callaway and never were put in any other corvette making this car one of one! This car is a two owner car and is a show winner and was invited to attend the exclusive "The Forge Show" held each year for the rarest muscle cars. You will be bidding on a piece of history! Winner will be resposible for shipping and will have to put a down payment of $5,000.00"
Maybe the other one is ****** white one! As far as condition the paint looks great and if its No. 1 it does have some history, lets see anyone bids 50k and still not be enough.

Its a beautiful car that needs no excuses made for it.
I always wonder why people feel the need to exaggerate the numbers of a "no excuses" car?
If thats the one that came from Corvette Mike I'll bet ~$65k is the number cause thats what they had it listed for, if I recall correctly.
