Default Transmission/grinding help

I have a ls2 bored and stroked to a 408. Matched up with an rpm built z06 trans and McLeod twin dick clutch. 4k on the build.

ISSUE.... when in first gear or reverse and letting the clutch almost all the way out it grinds for a sec or so and then stops when clutch is fully released. The grinding happens 90% of the time. Also when turning the car off it seems to have a rattle internal in the tranny.

Slave/throw out bearing?

Any help is appreciated.

No expert, but sounds like the throw out bearing to me.

I would call RPM and ask their thoughts.
