Default Another 79 Tachy Question

I put the new tach board in. When I turn on the ignition the needle goes way past zero. Do I have to remove the needle & reset it? If so, how does it come off without wrecking it ?

You need to set it a zero with power applied...

Gently pull it and it will come off. Willcox has a video on the whole procedure.
