Since it's a 350 cube engine, I'd use the L82 cam. It's designed for the 350 vs the L79 cam. It has long slower ramps and will help bleed off some of the dynamic compression. Its a crap shoot not...

A 512 is just a CE counter exchange engine block. It may even have both notches in it for small.and large journal bearings, I cant tell from your photo, and there is no such thing as a GM high nickle...
