hey-
just rebuilt my carb and i've had a few cases of run-on when i shut the engine off. it sputters very roughly for 1-2 seconds.

how harmful is this?
what are causes?

vacuum system- allowable leakage?

if i connect my Mityvac to the headlight control lines, i can pull 20-25 inHg easy and it will hold for a while. if i connect to the heater control lines, it takes a several pumps to build up vacuum...

it really depends... get a schematic and a hand...

it really depends...
get a schematic and a hand vacuum pump and go to town. it is not too hard to trace the source of the leak. could be as simple as a bad hose fit.
