Link to articulated hinge http://www.makoshark2.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/360.html
There's a lot of great info in that thread about the hinges. A lot of food for thought on fixed hinges and pivot points. It'd not occoured to me to use stock hinges off a normal car hood, but there's a perfect example of hinges that move a couple different ways with one movement.
Thanks for the link!!

Thanks for the compliments guys. And sorry if I have not updated my thread for a while... been REAL, REAL busy working the real job... and the wether here has been terrible anyway.
I started with stock inner fenders.. cut the crap out of them, and molded them to both the underside of the clip, and fabed my own lower pieces.
The entire clip raises with two 250lbs actuators by pushing a button on a remote key fob. I also hand made the hinges so that I could move the hinge point forward. This keeps the nose out of the dirt. In doing this though, I had to change the headlight buckets for clearance.
It is a PITA to to this... and you should REALLY want to before you start.

77custom thanks for the post. I've studyed this pic a lot:
your placement of hinges is interesting. They are single pivot, and the nose isn't hitting the ground. I also like the single actuator doing the work on both the headlight doors.
