C3 Eckler Wagons
I've searched this board but haven't found any info on the old Corvette wagons they used to build. I believe it was an Eckler conversion. Doesn't anyone on the board own one - or know someone who owns one? They aren't for everyone, but they are a bit of "Americana".

There was someone here with one, but can't think of who it was? I think the vette wagon is cool in its own way, but most here will barf on it
|
To barf on it may be a little stong of words, what I meant to say is dislike.;)
Long live the vette wagon:flag: |
There is a guy about an hour away from me that has one. He owns a motel and it is always sitting out in front of it.
|
Personally, I like them and think they're pretty cool. Here's an old thread with some good info:

I saw one a few years ago for sale and hated it. Now I think they are cool. |

Why is it, whenever I see one of these do I always think it should be towing a boat?

Wagon pics are common, anyone have pics of the hatchback conversion?

I didn't know the difference before, but now I see that I like the Greenwood design - but I like the bumper cars. All of the Ecklers appear to be bumper cars and all of the greenwoods seem to be rubber bumpered cars.
Thanks for all of the links. I'll have a lot of reading to do now.:D |
The Greenwood cars had side window glass that wrapped into the roof. The Eckler's cars didn't. /:\

I've always thought the sport wagons were some of the best customs.
