I have the American Racing 200S wheels on mine in 15X8. I don't recall the backspacing but I had to special order them through American and they knew the proper backspacing. http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/
When I got my 69 it was black, so I got the chrome 200S like above. However, after many years I wanted a change that would look better with the LeMans Blue paint that I had since had the car done in. So, I got some wheel paint in a graphite color and did the spokes. It now looks like this, although my new back tires are 255/60/15 rather than the 275/60/15 in the pics. American now makes this wheel with spokes in a similar color to what mine have below-

P.S. Engineering Torque Thrust D wheel with as cast centers. 15 X 8.5 wide, 4.25 backspace. 255/60/15 on back and 245/60/15 on front. I do have a dual mount monospring in front and back and offset trailing arms but this combo would fit stock as well. Wheels are made to fit stock caliper's.

Nice looking cars....I see that a forum member has some appliance wheels for sale, he is from KY but has them listed in MA, maybe he is waiting for me to take the bait haha
I have Rally Wheels but if find a good complete set, maybe find a set of Torq Thrust D's with tires that someone took off their Corvette, that would be great...I have 17 inch Torq Thrust 2's on my Camaro

Just be careful buying used "D" wheels as some generations did not have the relief in the back of the spokes to clear the C2 and C3 calipers. Usually by looking at pictures of the back of the wheels, you can tell if the relief is there. I love the look of the wheels.

ok, will do.....I do have the Rally wheels which I am planning on sandblasting and doing up soon, but if I find a good deal on wheels and tires...that came off a Corvette...maybe will go that route.

Now I have minilyte style only because I got to set custom specs. If you want to consider:
Here is a pic:

You would want the 15" T/A-II:

You would need a 4" backspace.

Bill, I'm pretty sure your Vette doesn't pale in comparison to any C3- great look you have going on there. I do have to agree with your comment on our taste though. If you ever decide to "prove" your car you'll definitely need to get some serious tires to put all that power to the ground.
