I don’t see how this is considered a restomod. You state it has almost all original components except the engine. Restomods usually have upgraded frames, brakes, transmissions, and interiors.

I paid less than that a couple years ago. I know everything is more expensive now due to Covid. Buy through Home Depot or Costco for better pricing.
