What kind of modifications, if any, were required to get those wheels to fit?

Mine didn't require any modifications. The stock backspacing on the TTII's was 4". They fit perfectly. The calipers are close, but they clear and the emergency brake line clears as well.

I wonder if that goes for the 17 inch wheels as well?

I run 17x8 rear, 17x7 front. 50 series tires. No mods on the front, but my rear suspension has had alot of work due to the drivetrain. I run offset trailing arms although I feel they aren't necessary if you relocate the e brake cable boss to the top of the trailing arm. There are plenty of midyear cars on the forum running 17 inch wheels, just do a search and you should find many topics/posts about this.

Thanks. The color is a wine color. It's a custom mix made for me by a company in Sterling Heights, MI. called Prizmalite Industries. Among other things they mix custom colors for the auto manufacturers show cars. They specialize in glass bead paint additives which make the paint reflective. They added a 7% mix of 10 micron, optically clear solid glass bead to the paint. which makes it look wet.

16x8 all around, 4.5" backspace (neutral offset), 245/45 tires.

No body modifications, but the e-brake bracket has been relocated to the top of the T-Arm. Front wheels "polish" the frame at full lock, but minimally noticeable.

Dirty after a day on (and off) the track at Willow Springs:

Pete,
I'm normally not a maroon fan, but your color is awesome! You could shave in the reflection. I'm looking at a maroon 66 now and may need to contact you about your paint specs.
Would you consider selling me your 66?
