The ground connection is achieved by the threads...

The ground connection is achieved by the threads of bolt connecting to the threads in the frame. Also a star washer can be used to achieve continuity when grounding to painted surfaces..

I checked the date and it is a 6B1(first week of December 1966). I initially thought it was a 681. Probably a little late for your car.
