The early riveted 65 Corvette wheel is the same as a welded 65-66 Corvette wheel EXCEPT it has rivets. The replacement 63-E64 & L64 Corvette wheel (GM #3838080) has a different rim cross section...

Since I was not on the assembly line in the Fall of 1964 I could not really say whether the early 65 Corvette wheels were welded or riveted. I wonder how many NCRS judges actually worked on the...

JohnZ

That's not true. I just sold an "early" 65 Corvette riveted Kelsey Hayes 15X 5 1/2 JK wheel dated Dec. 1964 used with disc brakes (See Ebay # 290300099614). These wheels are quite rare as I...

The "early" 63 wheel (15X5.5K) is GM part # 3825686 and was replaced with GM part # 3834127 in Jan. 1963. I have had both and I never could find a difference between the early and late 1963 wheels....

The 66 Corvette (and many other Corvette models) air cleaner element is A212CW as per my 1967 AC oil-air-fuel filter dealer's catalog.
The size is 3" X 13 15/16" (od) X 11 5/8" (id). Do you have the...

I have a 3858174 Corvette 327 block w/caps (J125 casting date). The pad has a partial Corvette serial number and "F1013HE" stamping. I bought the block in 1980 from someone in western Pennsylvania...

Rick,
You have to remove the clutch to see the "H". I am sure it is there. I have never seen a Hayes-Albion fan without the "H".

It will if you use a few washers as shims but it is "Busch League". The 68-up (C3) steering wheel will bolt up (actually screw up, but that does not sound right) directly to a 67 Corvette hub. The...

I believe your 17 1/8" fan just has the "H" stamping on the front. The 18" Hayes-Albion fan used with 66-67 AC cars has the "H" and the word "FRONT".

Rick,
The fan does have the flat head rivets used on 64-67 fans. Just measure the radius to determine the fan diameter.
The clutch appears to be the type made by Eaton but the two "ears" on the...

The letters indicate the manufacturer. I believe the "W" is really an upsidedown "M". I have seen the "M" on many of my 50 or so Chevrolet dipsticks that I have collected over the last 29 years.

I...

Rick,
It appears to be a 3770529 fan actually used from 1961 to 1967.
Does it have flat rivet heads? The 1964 and older fans used domed rivet heads.
Is it a 17 1/8" dia. fan? Measure the distance...

You don't seem to have much interest in 1963 Corvette dipsticks. I once owned a very early 1963 Split Window Coupe back in the late 80's and early 90's. I did a lot of research on the 1963 dipstick...

The 1968 Corvette w/427 uses dipstick # 3925520 (Gr. 1.516) as per my 1969 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (effective Oct. 1968). The dimension from the "stop" to the FULL mark is 17 13/32" and from the...
