Hi Stewy,Greetings from Canada the most southern part, I have a 60 driver that has a solid frame that has been messed with. Someone torched off the frame stiffeners that extend from the X member also torched out the holes for exhaust system. I have another x member c/w stiffeners , I am kicking around removing the body and installing the new x, Did you do something similiar to your 60. I assume it is difficult but do able once you get things level and parallel. If you have time your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I just rolled out on the start. Then the turbos went to work. Also I beat the wheel stander I ran against.

Prodigy is a project I've been working on since 2005. Long story, maybe we'll go into this another day.
I've been playing with vettes since 1975, so been around for a while. In later years the dream didn't match the reality for me. I just got tired of driving old cars, but never tired of their looks:- hence the dream and desire to build something unique and special:- to me at least.

I've owned every model vette except C4's. My all time favourite is the '63SWC. At the time we had a C5 6 speed, and damn these are a nice car, and whilst they look great for a modern car, nothing, nothing beats an old vette for style. I hatched the plan to build Prodigy on my return plane ride from the States after attending the 50th anniversary Corvette birthday bash.

I just got bored with restoring old cars, done 5 now, and it doesn't push my buttons any longer.
To cut to the chase, and in simplistic terms, Prodigy is a 2003 50th Anniversary Z06:- body removed, and retro fitted is a heavily modified '63 SWC body. It has been widened
10" and is built to look like it's dumped over the C5 chassis.
It has a custom made twin pod dash that looks like an original '63 at first glance but everything is hand fabricated to incorporate all the modern features but with an old feel.
Motor is fitted with a Kenne Bell twin screw supercharger, and Phadt racing adjustable coilover suspension is used:- mainly to dial in my required stance.
I've spent 5,500 hours on this car to date, another 1,500 to finish I'm reckoning.
Plan is, to debut this car at Melbourne Corvette Convention next year, doing my best, so we'll see how we go.
So that's the go with Prodigy Stewy

Hey Stewy, what's up? Fri night here and pretty cold, leaves falling, but I plan on getting a final season run on the 62 on the weekend. I gotta run some gas stabilizer thru the toys with this shitty gas so they run next year. Robbie

Stewy, Thanks for the props on my 60. (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...post1574167364) My father purchased the car new, 270 2X4 4 speed hard top only no painted coves. He passed in 1986. I have owned the car since. Pulled the original drivetrain and installed a 383 with a rock crusher 4 speed. Drove on 2 long haul power tours. HotRod magazine did a blip about the car 10/2000. Drive it often. I also found my fathers 66 and purchased it back in 2007. Pics here: www.fquick.com/TommyN

I see your from Perth. Long walk for us to have a beer ! I'm working on a 60 Vette that is in driver condition. I have been buying original parts for the last 2 years and have nearly finished with the bulk of them in the shed. I drive it every day but are very careful of other cars I don't want to bingle it !! I wan't to flight it after resto in a few years. Stewy
