Default Dark Bowling Green Metallic and Paint Codes

Is the color code for Dark Bowling Green Metallic U9259 or 91U? I just checked the stick in the glove compartment and it says U 9259.The reason i'm asking is because I just bought Dr color chip and i'm not sure if i order the right color.

Are you sure it is 9559 or is it 9529? The 9529 is the WA paint code.

The listing is showing generic color names - GM often times used a color code on other vehicles besides the Corvette. As an example - Dark Bowling Green Metallic is meaningless when used on a Blazer. The color name was a marketing thing - but the color was used elsewhere. Same goes for the Nassau Blue - the name is Corvette related, but the actual paint code was used on other vehicles.

Another example is Silver Metallic - on the Corvette it was Sebring Silver.

I bought touch up paint at a very good paint supply house in town about 6 weeks ago. I also have a DBGM vette. The counterguy told me that he only showed Polo Green in his listings but he was really only concerned with the color code from the car. Both Polo Green and DBGM are color code 91U.

Hope this helps.

wa9529 and 91u are the same color. there are several other codes depending on the manufacturer. no matter what they call the color, wa9529 is the correct paint for a 2000 dbgm. i bought some touch up from dr colorchip and it is exactly right.

Beware: the Corvette Action Center paint code list isn't as accurate as you think! It shows the green paint color for 2000-2001 Corvettes as "Polo Green", which was a C4 color. Polo Green has a paint code of 45, and GM code of WA9539. The correct paint color on 2000-2001 C5 Corvettes is called "Dk. Bowling Green", code 91, and GM code WA9529. Big difference if you make the mistake of buying Polo Green!!

Hopefully you've discovered your answer to the forum about the dark green paint color was wrong! The green paint on 2000-2001 C5 Corvettes was Dk Bowling Green, NOT Polo Green. Polo Green was a C4 color, carried a code of 45, and GM code of WA9539. The correct paint for the 00-01 C5 was Dk Bowling Green, code 91, and GM code WA9529. I'm wondering how many people mistakenly purchased Polo Green for touchup paint! The Corvette Action Center's list was screwed up; hard to believe they are still, today, listing the wrong color. I sent them an email; it'll be interesting to see if they finally follow up and correct their list.

I had my polo c4 and my bowling c5 next to each other. They are not the same colors.

I know this thread is a year old and I did start another one to finally correct the misinformation about this paint code out. So I am putting a link to my thread about it. The correct code is wa9539
